Alan Keyes loses again; will pray for guidance

It looks like Obama won't have his old nemesis Alan Keyes to kick around in the presidential debates this Fall. The Keyester, who quit the GOP two weeks ago to stand for the Constitution Party nomination, lost by a three-to-one margin at the convention in Kansas City.
After countless attempts at elective office, the politically homeless Keyes couldn't even get a few hundred xenophobic bible thumpers to vote for him. Apparently the deciding issue was the Keyester's support for the war against Iraq and foreign aid. Also his background as a UN representative had as much appeal to his isolationist audience as a pig farmer to a congregation of Hasidic Jews.
Beaten, but not broken, a determined Keyes told supporters he will continue to participate in the political process (ie. make a nuisance of himself) and will pray to God for guidance.
